Tencent Holdings share jumped 10.93 percent and closed at HK$766.5 on Monday, setting a record high.

Led by Tencent, the Hang Seng index rallied 2.4 percent to 30,159.01 and the China Enterprises Index gained 2.4 percent to 11,960.49.

According to Refinitiv, some HK$20 billion worth of Hong Kong stocks were purchased by investors from the Chinese mainland via the Stock Connect schemes linking Shanghai and Shenzhen with Hong Kong.
